Yard Shunter – Backshift LGV Class 2

Here at Global Logistics Staff Ltd, we pride ourselves on providing the very best service to our clients and we seek to recruit experienced LGV Class 2 drivers to support our clients business needs, in the help of Shunting/Yard work.
Job Role Information:
Position: LGV Class 2 Drivers
Start Times : Around 1300pm
Location: Cambuslang, Glasgow
Duration: Temporary
Pay Rate: Β£16.83 per hour, Β£25.25 per hour overtime
Pay Model: PAYE
Duties :
Daily duties will include taking the vehicles off the crews once they are ready to be tipped
Move them through the tipping process and then park up the vehicles ready for the next days work approx. (60 vehicles )
Aid the core shunters in having the vehicles put under the canopy for loading
Complete daily pre and post vehicle check
Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing clients expectations
Comply with WTD, drivers hours & rest periods
Experience :
Class 2 licence (minimum 6 months experience)
Must have a valid digital tachograph card & CPC qualification card
Have no more than 6 penalty points on licence
No DDs or DRs on licence
Must have excellent communication skills
All applicants will be subject to passing a driving assessment. You will also undergo a full site induction.
