Here at Global Logistics Staff Ltd, we pride ourselves on providing the very best service to our clients and we seek to recruit experienced LGV Class 2 dayshift drivers to support our clients' business needs. We are currently recruiting additional drivers for an ongoing contract in Cambuslang, Glasgow.
Job Role Information:
- Position: LGV Class 2 Drivers
- Location: Cambuslang, Glasgow
- Pay Rate: £17.52 per hour, £26.28 per hour overtime after 40 hours. Guaranteed minimum 8 hours per day.
- Pay Model: PAYE
This is an exciting ongoing contract role, delivering beers, wines and spirits, and becoming an integral member of the team.
Shifts: 0600am-0700am starts to work Tuesday to Friday every week (with the occasional Monday)
Duties:
- Delivery of beers, wines & spirits to the hospitality sector across central belt, Scotland.
- Accompanied with a drivers mate, you need to be able to work well with others.
- Complete daily pre and post vehicle checks.
- Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing clients' expectations.
- Comply with WTD, drivers hours & rest periods.
Experience:
- Previous experience of handling kegs/delivery of alcohol to hospitality venues would be an advantage.
- Class 2 licence (minimum 6 months experience).
- Must have a valid digital tachograph card & CPC qualification card.
- Have no more than 6 penalty points on licence.
- No DDs or DRs on licence.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
All applicants will be provided with a full site induction and training. A driving assessment will also be required. Immediate starts available.
