We are looking for an experienced and motivated Horizontal Borer Operator to join our busy machine shop. If you have a strong machining background and enjoy working with traditional equipment, this is a great opportunity to join a growing, employee-owned business.
What You'll Do
- Set up and run a conventional horizontal borer
- Operate lathes, mills and drills
- Work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Inspect your own work and maintain high quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and good workshop organisation
What We're Looking For
- Previous machining experience is essential
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in operating machine tools
- Bonus points for: SH75 experience, forklift licence, overhead crane use or knowledge of machine shop safety
