We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing organisation based in Livingston, for a Production Engineering Assistant Section Manager. Reporting to the Production Engineering Section Manager, the role will focus on implementing enhanced engineering systems to deliver production targets, drive continuous improvement, and support manufacturing innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
- Setting and achieving KPIs and performance targets
- Driving innovation, digitisation, automation, and SMART factory initiatives
- Managing and developing engineers, technicians, and apprentices
- Leading continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Supporting new equipment and model introductions
- Assisting with OPEX and CAPEX budget control
Key requirements:
- 5+ years manufacturing/process engineering experience
- Engineering background with some supervisory/management experience
- Lean, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement experience
- HND minimum in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- AutoCAD knowledge
- Strong communication skills
