The predicted salary is between 52000 - 62400 £ per year.

The Machine Operative is responsible for having an understanding of machinery functions and set up along with a knowledge of the software of the machine. They will also have the skills to inspect and carry out basic maintenance and adjustment to ensure production processes continue smoothly and safely.

Rate of pay - £28 per hour (13 Weeks probationary period CIS / Umbrella)

Shifts - Friday to Sunday, 07:00 - 17:30. You will be required to complete 3 weeks initial training with the day shift (39 hrs Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm).

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carry out CNC Operations in accordance with instructions and documentation provided.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, specifications, regulations, procedures and work instructions.
  • Check that equipment used is working correctly and fit for purpose, record defects and notify supervisor.
  • Report any defects to the Maintenance Dept.
  • Carry out necessary program, tooling dimensional checks and inspections, as necessary.
  • Maintain traceability through machining process.
  • Complete production records as work progresses.
  • Checking and maintaining quality throughout.
  • Inspecting parts to drawings and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping.
Authorities, Interface, Reporting and Supervision
  • Line report to the Machine Supervisor.
  • Liaise with Supervisors/Chargehands.
Health, Safety, Environment & Quality
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner taking reasonable care of your own and other people's health and safety.
  • Follow and adhere to all training received.
  • Ensure that HSEQ policies and practices are adhered to.
  • Report any accidents, incidents and near misses to the QHSE Manager.
  • Report any defects/fabrication non-conformities to your supervisor.
  • Maintain records and traceability throughout the fabrication process.
  • Wear and look after issued PPE/RPE.
  • Not to deliberately interfere with or misuse anything provided to maintain safety and to comply with legislation.
  • Participate in risk assessments and comply with controls specified in the risk assessment.
