As a Risk Analyst within the Global Risk Management team, you will play a key role in strengthening and enhancing the firm’s overall control environment. The position requires a well‑rounded understanding of risk management principles, control best practices and the first and second lines of defence. You will partner with senior management and business units to identify, assess and manage risks within the firm’s risk appetite.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with collation of key risk indicators and risk meeting data points.
  • Produce minutes for regional risk meetings.
  • Review and follow up on incidents to ensure control gaps are identified and remedied.
  • Prepare risk presentations and case studies of incidents.
  • Support global risk initiatives, thematic risk reviews and remediation/assurance work that delivers risk reduction.
  • Participate in enhancements to the existing risk system and build the future RCSA tool.
  • Develop an understanding of roles, processes and key operational risks across GLAS globally.
  • Promote a strong risk and control culture and contribute to risk awareness training.
  • Drive the identification, assessment and mitigation of operational risk.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and audit information requests.
  • Promote a strong governance culture embedded in the teams.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience in risk management in financial markets.
  • Entrepreneurial business focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable time‑management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities while balancing competing demands.
  • Knowledge of processes and controls required to mitigate errors.
  • Skill in building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive and willing to learn in a challenging environment.
  • Highly organised with a positive 'can‑do' attitude.
  • Ability to identify and raise issues appropriately.
