About the Role:
Our London-based Sales & Trading team is looking for an experienced Multi-Asset Sales Trader with expertise in equities and fixed income to execute trades, provide liquidity, and deliver market insights to institutional clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of European, US, and global markets, strong client relationships, and the ability to navigate multi-asset trading strategies and provide market insights across multiple asset classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and facilitate trades across equities and fixed income products for institutional clients (asset managers, hedge funds).
- Generate transaction revenue through trade execution across products and client relationships management, spearheading growth, developing processes for client acquisition, and contributing to the overall execution offering.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buy-side and sell-side clients, offering liquidity solutions and market intelligence. Provide daily market colour and develop relationships with existing institutional client base.
- Develop a marketing and sales plan to identify potential new clients and take ownership of internal revenue targets.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, central bank policies, and geopolitical events to provide actionable trade ideas.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop tailored client solutions. Communicating with our global offices including our HK based team. The company has access to equity, credit, derivative and capital markets. Some assistance in these areas, specifically on the capital markets side may be required in terms of order taking, book building, and monitoring exposure.
- Stay compliant with MiFID II, FCA regulations, and internal risk controls.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the firm’s client base in EMEA.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of sales trading experience covering both equities and fixed income (government/corporate bonds, credit, rates).
- Strong knowledge of European and global markets, including execution techniques.
- Preferably existing UK/EMEA client base with proven revenue generation.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate complex trades under pressure.
- Familiarity with trading platforms (Bloomberg, Ezesoft, Tradeweb, MarketAxess) and regulatory requirements.
- Driven Sales Ability. History of excellent client acquisition / retention.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., FCA certification, CFA, IMC) preferred.
