Global Hydraulics is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Mobile Hose & Hydraulic Engineer to join our growing team covering Northeast Lincolnshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hydraulic engineer, hose technician, mechanical fitter, or field service engineer who enjoys diagnosing faults, solving problems, and working directly with customers. You’ll attend customer sites across the region, carrying out hydraulic hose replacements, fault-finding, repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdown support. Hydraulic Repairs & Maintenance

  • Diagnose hydraulic faults and identify effective repair solutions
  • Manufacture and replace hydraulic hoses and fittings on customer sites
  • Install, maintain and repair hydraulic systems and components
  • Work on pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses and associated equipment
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability
  • Complete detailed inspections and testing of hydraulic systems

Field Service & Customer Support

  • Respond to customer breakdowns and service requests across Northeast Lincolnshire
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service on every visit
  • Provide technical advice and practical solutions to customers
  • Build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Assist in identifying future business opportunities

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete RAMS before every job
  • Record and photograph completed work
  • Update Trello and company systems accurately
  • Use the Certag Asset Management System
  • Maintain accurate service records, parts usage and labour details
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures and company standards

Team Support

  • Assist in the development and training of junior engineers
  • Participate in stock checks and weekly ordering processes
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to support customer requirements

About You

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience working with hydraulic systems and components
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota
  • Comfortable travelling throughout the Northeast Lincolnshire area
  • Experience as a Hydraulic Engineer, Mobile Hose Engineer, Hydraulic Technician, Mechanical Fitter or Field Service Engineer
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, plant, marine or engineering environments
