About Global HSE Group: We are a leading Fire Engineering and Consultancy Business. We specialise in providing high standard Fire Safety and Passive Fire Protection services to top niche clients from a broad number of industries such as Construction, Hotels, Sport and Leisure, Housing, Education, Commercial, Manufacturing and Industrial.
Role Overview: We are looking for site operatives with at least 2 years proven experience Surveying in PFP Installation or someone looking to make the transition from installing/supervising fire remediation and install, to inspection, verification, and design. They should have a strong understanding of PFP (Passive Fire Protection) standards and be willing to travel. Global HSE offers diverse job opportunities across various locations. The role includes a company phone, company vehicle and fuel card.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to undertake site PFP at both existing buildings and construction sites with precision to ensure that all passive fire protection systems are installed in accordance with certified details and manufacturers instructions then report accordingly.
- Experience of using electronic recording applications (essential).
- Undertake site inspections, surveys and building audits relating to passive fire protection such as fire stopping, cavity barriers, fire doors, fire dampers and drywalls and report accordingly.
- Hands-on approach to identify defects and other non-compliances, photograph and report them using Bolster/Plan radar/Boris software and compile into thorough reports.
- Ensure the passive fire protection within buildings is installed in accordance with certified details, fire test reports and manufacturers requirements.
- Understand and interpret codes of practice, standards, and manufacturer details related to passive fire protection.
- Compile and communicate PFP survey reports, updating the head of department on site progress and issues.
- To be able to use industry standard and technical terminology to describe compartmentation issues and penetrating services through a variety of fire rated substrates, allowing the formulation of clear and concise survey reports that are issued to a multitude of clients.
- Show willingness to learn and develop a career in fire protection and fire engineering, with career progression opportunities provided by Global, including a training and personal development plan leading to qualifications from NVQ L3 up to L5 in Fire Engineering Design.
