The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to provide professional and reliable support within the Accounts Department. The role involves ownership of key finance tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will support the accurate and compliant day-to-day running of the finance function across UK and ROI entities, including transactional finance, payroll and expenses, and VAT support. As a representative of Global Home Warranties, you will uphold the company’s values and professional standards at all times.
The Individual Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades AC or equivalent), including Maths and English.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar accounts or finance role.
- Proven IT literacy, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software.
- Demonstrable experience of:
- Ownership and day-to-day management of sales and purchase ledgers.
- Bank, supplier, and card reconciliations.
- Supporting the preparation of VAT returns.
- Handling internal and external account queries professionally.
