Our client is a well-established service provider based in Inverness. Having won multiple awards, they are now looking to grow their team with a Trainee Service and IT Engineer. This role could be ideal for a college leaver, IT enthusiast, or someone looking for a new career path. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the installation, setup, and configuration of photocopiers, printers, and multi-functional devices (MFDs)
  • Supporting with network connectivity tasks, including scanning setup, driver installation, and integrating devices with customer IT systems.
  • Learning how to diagnose hardware and software faults β€” both remotely and on-site.
  • Carry out routine equipment maintenance to ensure devices are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Helping to maintain service records, complete job reports, and support senior engineers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A keen interest in IT, electronics, or mechanical engineering
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, network connectivity (IP addressing), and general troubleshooting
  • Good problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on attitude
  • Strong communication skills and a professional manner with customers
  • Full UK driving licence (or working towards it)
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through structured training.
