Our client is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team at a luxury hotel in Thurso. Candidate must have high standards and excellent attention to detail with experience in leading a team. This is a full-time temporary role for any candidates who would require accommodation with potential for this to be permanent for candidates who are local to the Thurso area or willing to relocate for work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff.
  • Schedule daily rotas and monitor staff performance.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Manage housekeeping supplies and linens.
  • Coordinate room availability and priorities with the front desk and maintenance teams.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns.
  • Report maintenance issues and follow up on repairs.
  • Develop and maintain cleaning procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist with cleaning duties when required.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping operations, staffing, and supplies.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous housekeeping experience
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High standards and attention to detail
  • Due to location of role own transport is essential, this also applies for any live in candidates

  • £13.46 per hour plus tips
