We are seeking a reliable and experienced Day Shift/Backshift Fitter to join our maintenance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safe operation of plant equipment through planned maintenance, mechanical support, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide mechanical support and maintenance across the site.

Carry out all planned maintenance (PMs) to keep equipment running reliably.
*
Review maintenance and operational logbooks at the start of each shift.
*
Leave clear and accurate shift reports in the logbook, noting any issues.
*
Report any concerns or faults directly to your supervisor.
*
Identify and suggest MIP (maintenance improvement programme) initiatives.
*
Book out all stores withdrawals correctly.
*
Check daily workload at the start of shift, complete tasks as required, and sign off all completed jobs.
*
Work efficiently and effectively to achieve area goals.
*
Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth and safe plant operations.
*
Identify and implement improvements to boost performance.

Previous experience as a mechanical fitter or in a similar maintenance role.
