Our parent company are looking for a Mareketing specilaist to run the Construction & Consultancy portfolio bringing together specialist businesses delivering architecture, construction, building services and design consultancy across the commercial, industrial, public and energy sectors.

The portfolio includes SB Services, Capstone Construction, Bracewell and Gould Singleton Architects.

Each business operates under its own established brand and leadership team, while benefiting from the support of Global's Corporate Services function.

Together, these businesses provide a broad range of specialist services, from architectural design and project management through to construction, refurbishment, mechanical and electrical services, maintenance and building compliance.

Working across both public and private sector projects, they are recognised for delivering high-quality solutions and building long-term relationships with clients across the UK.

About the Position

Global is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Specialist (Construction & Consultancy) to join the Corporate Services Comms & Marketing Team in Inverness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering marketing activity across Global's Construction & Consultancy portfolio, helping to strengthen each brand's market presence, and showcase the expertise, projects and people that make each business unique.

This varied role will involve content creation, social media management, website management, digital marketing, event support, reporting and campaign delivery, working closely with each business to ensure marketing activity supports commercial objectives and brand growth.

The Marketing Specialist (Construction & Consultancy) will support the portfolio's objectives by:

  • Raising the profile of each business through consistent, engaging and high-quality marketing across digital and traditional channels.
  • Supporting business development activity through sector-focused marketing campaigns, case studies, project announcements and thought leadership content.
  • Promoting the specialist capabilities, technical expertise and successful project delivery of each business to existing and prospective clients.
  • Strengthening employer brand activity by showcasing company culture, people and career opportunities across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage high-quality marketing content for social media (with a focus on Linked In), websites, email campaigns, press releases, presentations, case studies and client-facing materials.
  • Manage social media channels across the portfolio, maintaining each brand's individual identity while increasing engagement and audience growth.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver marketing campaigns supporting new service launches, project milestones, business announcements and commercial activity.
  • Maintain and update company websites (Craft CMS), ensuring content remains accurate, engaging, brand compliant and optimised for search engines.
  • Support the planning and promotion of exhibitions, networking events, conferences, industry awards and client events.
  • Produce photography, video (including drone footage) and project-focused content that showcases completed work, technical expertise and company culture.
  • Monitor website performance, social media analytics and campaign effectiveness, producing regular reports and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with business leaders, project teams and the wider Comms & Marketing team to identify marketing opportunities and develop engaging content.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and agencies for photography, videography, design, merchandise, PPE, and print and digital marketing activity where required.
  • Ensure all marketing materials remain consistent with brand guidelines across each business.
  • Support the Comms & Marketing Manager with wider Group marketing and communications activities, providing assistance across a range of projects, campaigns and administrative tasks, including updating and maintaining the Group intranet, coordinating branded merchandise, corporate clothing, PPE and marketing collateral.
  • Criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field.
  • Previous experience in a marketing role, ideally within construction, architecture, engineering, professional services or another B2B environment.
  • Strong content creation skills (Canva or Adobe), with the ability to produce engaging written and visual content across multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including content management / scheduling systems (Sendible), and analytics tools (Google Analytics).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret marketing performance data.
  • Photography, videography (including drone operation) or graphic design experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Comfortable using AI-powered tools to support content creation, research, planning and productivity, with the ability to adapt to emerging technologies while applying sound judgement and maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
