Overview:

A well-established renewable energy installation company is looking for an experienced Electrician to join its installation team, delivering Solar PV, battery storage and wider low-carbon energy systems across domestic, commercial and new build projects. This is a hands-on role working within a skilled team delivering high-quality renewable energy installations across Scotland, with opportunities for ongoing development in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and commission Solar PV and battery storage systems
  • Carry out electrical wiring, inverter installations, panel mounting, and switchgear work
  • Complete fault finding, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair tasks
  • Undertake EICRs and ensure compliance with current regulations and standards
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and installation documentation
  • Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver safe and efficient installations
  • Carry out testing, commissioning, and accurate certification
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and documentation
  • Liaise with internal teams to support project delivery and technical requirements

Requirements:

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • City & Guilds Inspection & Testing (2391-52)
  • Proven experience with EICRs
  • ECS Card
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong electrical installation experience (domestic and/or commercial)
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
  • Strong understanding of safe working practices and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Desirable:

  • Experience with Solar PV and battery storage systems
  • Experience with EV charge points
  • Previous renewables experience
