The Opportunity:
Our client is a well-established and growing business operating within the renewable energy and heating sector. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Heating & Plumbing Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work on a variety of heating and renewable energy projects, develop their expertise in low-carbon technologies, and become part of a company with a strong reputation for quality, customer service, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, maintain and repair heating and plumbing systems
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs efficiently and effectively
- Install and maintain renewable heating systems, including heat pumps and associated equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry regulations and standards
- Complete service records, compliance certificates, and technical documentation accurately
- Liaise with internal teams to support successful project delivery
- Provide professional customer handovers and technical guidance where required
- Identify and report technical issues, site risks, and safety concerns
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard
- Represent the business professionally at all times
Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience within heating and plumbing installation, servicing, and maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Good understanding of heating systems, plumbing installations, and industry regulations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable:
- Gas Safe registration
- Experience with air source and ground source heat pump systems
- Experience within the renewable energy or energy efficiency sector
- Additional qualifications relating to renewable technologies
