Global Highland are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic bartender to for our client a luxury hotel in the Dingwall area. This is the ideal opportunity for a bartender with an excellent knowledge of whisky who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service, preparing and serving drinks efficiently, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard.
- Good knowledge of cocktails
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Take drink orders accurately and process payments using the till/POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, equipment, and workstations.
- Restock beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies as required.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Verify customers' age and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with licensing laws.
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Be able to talk to guests about the various whiskies available behind the bar
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a bar, pub, restaurant, or hospitality venue.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Good knowledge of whisky, beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, and bar service techniques.
- Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience using electronic till or POS systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations and responsible alcohol service.
- Due to the location of this role candidates would be required to have access to own transport due to location.
