We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our clients finance team headquartered in Inverness. This is a fantastic opportunity perhaps for a school leaver looking to start a career in finance or someone early into their finance career looking to gain hands‑on experience and work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Matching, coding, and processing invoices and credit notes against valid purchase orders
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Processing company credit card reports, ensuring compliance with company policy, and escalating queries where necessary
- Dealing with supplier queries professionally and efficiently
- Liaising with department managers to obtain invoice approvals where required
- Ensuring full compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and internal controls
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
- Experience in a similar role or a high‑volume financial environment is preferable but not essential
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and influence effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- High level of integrity, self‑motivated, and willing to learn
