Ullapool (Inverness considered) £16.28 per hour Full-time. Global Highland are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Driver to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable business, offering a competitive hourly rate and a varied role that involves collections and deliveries, including travel to Stornoway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive vehicles in accordance with the law and safe working practices.
- Operate within tachograph law, driver hours, and working time directive requirements.
- Safely load and secure vehicles to minimise risk of damage or injury.
- Complete timely collections and deliveries as scheduled.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of the drivers cab and vehicle exterior.
- Complete all required delivery/collection paperwork and maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel use, and costs.
- Attend essential training and comply with company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Valid, clean HGV Licence.
- Minimum of 1 years HGV driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of geographical areas.
- Excellent timekeeping, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Familiarity with standard vehicle equipment (e.g. pallet trucks).
