Global Highland are recruiting for a chef to join a busy kitchen team for our client in Kingussie. This is a full-time role on a temporary basis to cover the summer season.

Working with exceptional local produce, you would create fresh, seasonal dishes, home-baked cakes and tray bakes, and innovative daily specials that showcase the best ingredients from local suppliers.

  • Develop and prepare daily specials using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Produce a range of high-quality home-baked cakes, tray bakes, and sweet treats for daily sale.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Manage food preparation, ordering, stock control, and stock rotation.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP requirements.
  • Minimise waste and maximise profitability through effective kitchen management.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.

Previous experience as a Chef, Sous Chef or Senior CDP required. Candidates should have a strong background in fresh food preparation and high volume service. Previous experience in a cafe, brunch, street food or casual dining experience is preferred but not essential. A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations is necessary.

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and also take ownership of the kitchen. Primarily day shift hours with a focus on lunch service. Rate of pay £15 per hour.
