We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Cook to join our warm and welcoming care home team in Inverness. This permanent weekend role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing delicious, nutritious meals and enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of others.
About the Role
As our Cook, you will play an important part in supporting the wellbeing of residents by preparing and serving balanced, appealing meals that meet individual dietary needs. You will also:
- Prepare, cook and serve meals to a high standard
- Support residents with specific dietary requirements
- Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Contribute to menu planning and stock control
- Carry out home baking and support the overall food offering
- Engage residents in food preparation activities where appropriate
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food hygiene legislation
What We're Looking For
- Experience in catering or a similar role
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene standards
- Ability to plan menus and manage stock effectively
- Basic computer literacy
- A positive, caring attitude and the ability to work well with residents and colleagues
