As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Design & Build Manager to join their team in Inverness and lead the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
The Role
The Infrastructure Design & Build Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing the planning, design coordination, and construction delivery of infrastructure projects. You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure design and build projects
- Manage project teams including engineers, designers, contractors, and consultants
- Coordinate design development, technical approvals, and construction delivery
- Ensure projects meet budget, programme, quality, and safety requirements
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement
- Oversee procurement of contractors and suppliers
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and health & safety standards
- Provide regular reporting on project progress to senior leadership
About You
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in infrastructure or construction project delivery.
Essential:
- Proven experience managing infrastructure design and build projects
- Strong understanding of civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure development
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong stakeholder and client management abilities
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and construction standards
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
Desirable:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Professional accreditation (e.g. ICE, APM, or similar)
- Experience working on energy, utilities, or large infrastructure projects
