Key Responsibilities:
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding systems safely and efficiently across domestic and small commercial solar PV sites
- Lead, supervise, and support a small team of scaffolders and labourers
- Coordinate with planning and project delivery teams to schedule scaffold installation and removal in line with project timelines
- Ensure all scaffolding is compliant, properly inspected, and safe for use prior to handover
- Maintain high health & safety standards at all times, particularly when working at height
- Organise and prepare equipment, materials, tools, and transport (including scaffold vehicle operations where required)
- Support efficient delivery of multiple live solar projects by ensuring timely access solutions
- Identify, report, and escalate site risks, hazards, and operational issues promptly
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-organised working environments across all sites
- Support training and development of junior team members
- Contribute to continuous improvement in workflow, planning, and site efficiency
Requirements
Essential:
- CISRS Part 2 Scaffolding qualification (Advanced preferred)
- Proven experience as a scaffolder across multiple sites
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and working at height
- Ability to plan, organise, and deliver work to tight project timelines
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong practical problem solving ability
- Ability to communicate effectively with site teams, contractors and stakeholders
Desirable:
- CISRS Advanced Scaffolder certification
- Scaffold inspection qualification
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- Experience in domestic or small commercial construction environments
- Experience within renewable energy or solar PV projects
- Experience mentoring or developing junior team members
