Overview:
A well-established renewable energy installation company is looking for an experienced Electrician to join its installation team, delivering Solar PV, battery storage and wider low-carbon energy systems across domestic, commercial and new build projects. This is a hands-on role working within a skilled team delivering high-quality renewable energy installations across Scotland, with opportunities for ongoing development in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and commission Solar PV and battery storage systems
- Carry out electrical wiring, inverter installations, panel mounting, and switchgear work
- Complete fault finding, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair tasks
- Undertake EICRs and ensure compliance with current regulations and standards
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and installation documentation
- Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver safe and efficient installations
- Carry out testing, commissioning, and accurate certification
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and documentation
- Liaise with internal teams to support project delivery and technical requirements
Requirements:
- Essential NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- City & Guilds Inspection & Testing (2391-52)
- Proven experience with EICRs
- ECS Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong electrical installation experience (domestic and/or commercial)
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong understanding of safe working practices and regulations
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable:
- Experience with Solar PV and battery storage systems
- Experience with EV charge points
- Previous renewables experience
