Global Highland is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation within the agricultural and logistics sector for a Warehouse Operative and Intake Assistant to join their busy depot in the Highlands. This is a varied role combining administrative responsibilities with hands-on warehouse duties. The successful candidate will support both the Depot Manager and Supervisor, playing a key role in stock intake, processing and general warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Duties
- Accurate processing of paperwork and data
- Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders via phone, email and in person
- Maintaining high standards of organisation and accuracy
- Supporting and promoting health & safety procedures
- Acting as Health & Safety Champion for site (training provided)
- Coordinating intake processes for deliveries
- Operating forklift trucks (FLT licence desirable, training may be available)
- Physical handling and movement of stock
- Providing a professional and helpful service to suppliers and visitors
Requirements
- Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse experience
- Administration experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Health & Safety knowledge or qualification (desirable)
- FLT licence (desirable but not essential)
- National 5 (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or above
