Our client is a leading civil engineering company with their head office in Inverness. Currently looking for an Estimatorto join their well established commercial team.
As a Civil Engineering Estimator, you will be integral to the planning and execution of a wide range of civil engineering projects, primarily within the energy sector. You will leverage your expertise to deliver precise, competitive cost estimates, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:Thoroughly analyse project plans, specifications, and relevant documentation to prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates.Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to collect the necessary information for reliable cost projections.Identify and assess all cost factors, including production time, materials, and labour expenses.Present comprehensive cost estimates and project budgets to clients and senior management.Continuously monitor and update cost estimates as project details evolve.Assist in preparing bid proposals and tender documents to ensure accurate, competitive submissions.Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the latest knowledge is applied to all projects.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Estimator or in a similar estimating role.In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.Proficiency with estimation software and related tools.Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and forge professional relationships.Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.Strong organisational and time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively.Familiarity with planning software is an advantage.If you are interested in the above and would like to find out more please contact Lyndsey at Global Highland
