We are Global Guardians, the UK's leading Property Guardianship Company with a mission to bring empty properties back to life for the benefit of local communities. We are dedicated to offering sustainable and affordable solutions for managing vacant buildings by placing working professionals as guardians into these properties, ensuring they are kept safe and secure.
We are currently seeking two gas safety engineers to join our dynamic team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is based across various locations in London and the surrounding areas. Your role will be to ensure that all residential and commercial properties managed under our guardianship schemes remain gas safe, legally compliant, and fully operational. This includes carrying out inspections, servicing, installation, and repairs of gas appliances and systems in line with UK legislation, ensuring the protection of property guardians and preservation of client assets.
Key Responsibilities- Complete and renew all Gas Safety Certificates (CP12 / CP4 / CP42) within legal timescales
- Ensure full compliance with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998
- Service, test, maintain, and repair boilers, gas appliances, ventilation, and flues
- Diagnose and resolve faults in residential and commercial heating and hot water systems
- Respond to gas emergencies, isolate supplies, and condemn unsafe appliances in line with GIUSP
- Ensure all properties are gas-compliant prior to occupation
- Maintain accurate asset registers, compliance documentation, and digital records
- Support void preparation works and provide plumbing cover when required
- Investigate gas incidents and implement corrective actions
- Support audits, recommend compliance improvements, and remain current with gas legislation
- Full UK Drivers License
- Minimum 3+ years experience as a Gas Engineer in domestic and/or commercial environments
- Competencies including CCN1 + CENWAT (domestic) and COCN1 or CODNCO1 (commercial) or equivalent
- Level 2 & Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
