My client is a leading specialist façade contractor known for delivering high-quality, innovative, and architecturally striking building envelopes across the UK. With a strong reputation for excellence, precision, and collaboration, the business continues to grow and is seeking an experienced Facade Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Facade Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the financial and commercial management of façade projects from pre-construction through to final account. You’ll work closely with project managers, design teams, procurement, and clients to ensure accurate cost control, contract compliance, and profitable delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial aspects of façade projects, including cost planning, valuations, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare and submit interim applications for payment and manage change control processes.
- Assess, value, and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Work closely with procurement to evaluate subcontractor packages, negotiate terms, and oversee payment processes.
- Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and commercial risk management.
- Provide accurate cost advice, financial updates, and performance reports to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, measure works, and support project teams.
- Support cashflow management and ensure projects remain on budget and delivered within agreed financial parameters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the façade, cladding, or specialist envelope sector.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT forms.
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and QS software tools.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
