Role Overview
My client seeks an experienced Facade Design Manager to lead and oversee the design and technical delivery of façade systems across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate design processes, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure that design solutions meet project requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the façade design process from concept through to construction.
- Develop, review, and approve detailed façade design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent and performance criteria are met.
- Coordinate design workshops, technical reviews, and value-engineering sessions.
- Identify design risks and opportunities, providing proactive solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, industry standards, and project-specific requirements.
- Oversee design deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Support procurement processes by evaluating technical aspects of façade materials and systems.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Façade Engineering, Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in façade design management within construction or façade contracting.
- Strong understanding of façade systems such as curtain walling, cladding, glazing, rainscreen systems, and structural interfaces.
- Excellent knowledge of building codes and façade performance criteria (thermal, acoustic, structural, fire).
- Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or similar).
- Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
