About the Role:
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Facade Engineer to join our growing building envelope team. You will play a crucial role in the design, specification, and delivery of innovative façade systems across a range of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting architectural projects, collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure façade performance, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review façade system designs including curtain walling, cladding, rainscreens, and glazing systems.
- Conduct thermal, structural, and acoustic assessments to ensure compliance with building regulations and performance standards.
- Support project delivery from concept to completion, including site inspections and technical reporting.
- Collaborate with architects, main contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and propose value-engineered solutions.
- Assist with façade performance testing, material selection, and specification writing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of façade technology, materials, and construction methods.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in façade engineering or building envelope design.
- Strong understanding of curtain walling, cladding systems, and building physics principles.
- Proficient in relevant design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, thermal/FEA software).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery.
- Familiarity with UK building regulations, fire safety standards, and façade performance criteria.

- Experience working in a consultancy or specialist façade contractor environment.
