Due to continued market development, we are now seeking to appoint a Sales Consultant to drive sales for our Planned and Preventative Maintenance contracts commutable to our Nottingham Head Office with travel to client sites as required. This role is ideal for anyone with sales experience (field-based) ideally within the Fire and Security industry or possibly a current or former Fire Systems Engineer looking for a more commercial role.

Job Purpose: Take full ownership of allocated sales enquiries, conduct site surveys and provide quotations to clients within set deadlines, to improve Global’s market position and achieve sales growth by developing new relationships and retention/expansion of existing relationships, across all market sectors. You will represent the entire range of company services to all clients, and gain commitment from clients to buy from Global.

Role Responsibilities

  • Sales Performance: Take full ownership of allocated sales enquiries & site surveys to achieve sales targets and profit objectives as set by the company. Promote the company and the products and services at all times. Accurately record and process related documents and records. Produce monthly sales forecasts. Monitor enquiry end dates making sure that we meet deadlines.
  • Planning and Organising: To optimise the time available by effective planning. Schedule and monitor workload requirements for sales enquiries which you are responsible for. Design and estimation of small works Life Safety and Security Systems in-line with British Standards. Produce weekly sales enquiries status update for the Department Managers/Directors. To maintain up to date records and information systems. To maintain up to date records of contacts and business obtained.
  • Selling Skills: Understand and practice all-round sales skills including open questioning, objection handling etc. Generate and develop business from new and existing clients. To meet the targets set for orders by preparing and submitting detailed quotations. Answer to the satisfaction of the client any objections or questions raised. Build key internal and external customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

About You: Sales experience (field-based) ideally within the Fire and Security industry. Possibly a current or former Fire Systems Engineer looking for a more commercial role. Experience of working to deadlines and to agreed targets. Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems and Security Systems.
