Job Purpose

To carry out servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems, ensuring all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date and compliance with the company Health and Safety policy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Carry out fire extinguisher and Ansul fire suppression system servicing and remedials at various sites such as restaurants and hotels.
  • Provide a good level of customer service and professional manner at all times.
  • Arrange your own diary and book appointments with clients.
  • Complete paperwork and reports to be sent back in a timely manner.
  • Take part in the on call rota alongside your colleagues.
  • Ensure that all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety.
  • Monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment.
  • Record inspection reports and keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
  • Have working knowledge of statutory regulations and ensure awareness of all safety procedures.

About You

  • Demonstrable experience of servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems.
  • Qualifications to service fire extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems in accordance with British Standards.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices.
  • Strong customer care focus.
  • Be proactive and capable of anticipating potential faults.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weights of up to 25kg.

Training Provided

If you already have experience of Ansul R102 systems, that’s great, but if not and you have the right aptitude and some of the right skills, we may be able to train you in the rest!
