Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer

Field‑based position covering the Southbank area of London. The role is static with no extensive travel.
Job Purpose
To undertake all electrical works within the area efficiently and safely, with repairs undertaken as appropriate.
To ensure all planned maintenance is carried out on schedule.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure equipment and services are maintained in a safe condition in compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Monitor preventive maintenance programmes and record inspection reports.
Maintain logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
Have working knowledge of statutory regulations and safety procedures.
Undertake electrical repairs and installations as required.
Report defects at time of service visit.
Carry out work specified in service orders.
Manage vehicle and stock control of materials.
Complete all work‑related documentation accurately and on time.
Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
Work safely and diligently.
Attend and participate in training and appraisal activities.
Undertake additional sapertos as required.
Follow group and company policies at all times.
Report any deficiencies that may impact service delivery, health & safety or the environment.
Use all work equipment and PPE correctly and per training received.
Report any issues or training needs to yourUploader line manager or via incident reporting system.
About You
City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent preferred.
IEE 18th Edition Regulations knowledge preferred but not essential.
Experience in all types of electrical fire‑life safety works in the services sector.
Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
Strong customer‑care focus.
Proactive with the ability to anticipate potential faults.
Full UK driving licence.
Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weights up to 25 kg.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Customer‑focused with good organisational skills.
