A global enterprise SaaS business is hiring a Chief Product & Technology Officer to help lead a major transformation across product, engineering and AI strategy. The company operates an established international B2B software platform with approximately 450 employees globally, around £50m ARR and an 83% recurring SaaS revenue model. Following a broader strategic shift, the business is investing heavily into the future of its modern Finance ERP platform and next-generation AI capabilities. This is not a traditional CTO role.
The business is specifically looking for a product-led technology executive who can combine platform strategy, engineering leadership and commercial thinking within a complex enterprise software environment. The role sits directly alongside the CEO and will play a central role in shaping the future direction of the platform, product organization and broader technology strategy.
What you will be leading:
- The company is moving away from a fragmented legacy product estate toward a more unified, AI-enabled finance platform architecture.
- Key challenges include modernizing mature enterprise software environments, simplifying and rationalizing product architecture, embedding AI meaningfully into workflows and customer outcomes, improving execution velocity across product and engineering, aligning platform strategy more closely to commercial growth.
This environment combines enterprise SaaS scale with the pace and ambiguity of a transformation-led business. The role requires someone comfortable making difficult prioritization decisions, driving organizational change and balancing innovation with operational realities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the long-term product and technology vision.
- Lead platform modernization and AI adoption strategy.
- Align product, engineering and GTM priorities.
- Simplify and consolidate complex product environments.
- Improve engineering execution, delivery and scalability.
- Partner with executive leadership and board stakeholders.
- Build a high-performing product and engineering culture.
- Help position the platform for long-term enterprise growth.
Ideal Background:
- Previous CPTO, CTO or senior product & technology leadership experience.
- Experience within enterprise SaaS, FinTech, ERP or financial software environments.
- Strong understanding of AI-driven platform transformation.
- Proven ability to lead both product and engineering organizations.
- Experience modernizing or scaling complex B2B software platforms.
- Commercial mindset with strong executive stakeholder management skills.
Experience within high-growth, PE-backed or transformation-focused environments is highly valuable.
Why this role stands out:
This is an opportunity to help reshape an established enterprise software business into a modern AI-native platform organization with direct influence at CEO and board level. The role offers genuine strategic ownership, large-scale transformation scope and the opportunity to solve complex product, technology and commercial challenges within a highly relevant and evolving market.
If you are excited by the idea of transforming a complex enterprise software business into a modern AI-native finance platform, we would love to speak with you confidentially. Please apply directly or reach out for further information.
