A leading quantitative brokerage in the capital markets space is currently seeking a technical, detail-oriented FIX Onboarding Analyst to support onboarding of institutional counterparties in the derivatives / best execution space. If you are hired, you will manage FIX connectivity, certification, and trade-flow integration while working closely with quants, brokers, developers, and operations. The role requires deep knowledge of FIX protocol, derivatives workflows, and best execution obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full onboarding lifecycle in a client- and venue-facing capacity, engaging with brokers, ECNs, ATSs, and exchanges.
- Manage FIX certification: schemas, mappings, test plans, and cutover.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, sequencing, and messaging issues.
- Maintain a counterparty library of FIX versions, dialects, and extensions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and legal requirements.
- Drive automation and process improvements in onboarding workflows.
Required Skills & Experience:
- ~3β7+ years in electronic trading / FIX onboarding (derivatives preferred).
- Strong experience with FIX protocol systems.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, VPNs, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Linux/bash, XML, and SQL or similar tech stack experience.
- Excellent communication & project coordination skills.
- Ability to read logs, follow specs, and keep organized records.
- Familiarity with GitHub or other version control systems is a bonus.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Derivatives trading experience (OTC, cleared).
- Knowledge of futures and cash treasuries markets.
- Experience with OMS/EMS, broker onboarding, or exchange UAT.
