Global Engineering Talent is supporting a key delivery partner on a live banking fit-out project in Canary Wharf. We’re looking for an experienced M&E Manager to take ownership of mechanical and electrical packages on a fast-paced, high-spec commercial scheme.
This is a delivery-focused role — suited to someone confident running packages, coordinating subcontractors, and driving programme on-site.
The Project
Full M&E fit-out within an operational banking environment, including the reconfiguration of office, operational, and client-facing areas. Works include:
- HVAC systems, fire suppression, controls integration, and commissioning
- Power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, containment, and earthing
- Integration with existing infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
- Manage M&E work packages from installation through to commissioning
- Drive programme, manage risk, and ensure key milestones are achieved
- Coordinate subcontractors and lead site meetings
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and site safety standards
- Oversee QA processes, testing, and commissioning readiness
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
Requirements
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Background in construction delivery on commercial or critical projects
- Proven ability to manage programme and subcontractors under pressure
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Well-versed in CDM regulations
Qualifications:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- NVQ Level 6/7 (or equivalent) desirable
- NEC contract knowledge advantageous
