Our client is looking for multi-skilled crewmen with lorry driving as one of their main areas. They use all types of vehicles to deliver various size products to their customers. Start time is 06:00 and finishing at around 15:00.
Your Responsibilities
- Crewmen are skilled product installers; the products range from pallet deliveries, small desktop printers to full print production systems.
- Crewmen are required to perform site surveys before the products are due to be installed to plan the best delivery method.
- Use all types of manual handling equipment to aid if needed.
- Connect the printers to customers' network.
- Perform and provide basic demonstrations/training of these products if required.
- Crewmen deliver, collect and move these products all around the UK and occasionally travel overseas.
Skills and Experience Required
- A licence allowing you to drive up to 18 ton is preferred but we will also consider applicants with a license up to 7.5 ton.
- The customer is always winning new business, which may require new skills to be developed to fulfil their clients' requirements.
- Full training is provided for every aspect as the contract grows, so do the crewmen's skills.
- Crewmen go to different places every day and interact with all types of customers from different walks of life.
- While you may follow the same processes and install the same products, no one day is the same, which makes each day new and exciting.
