Transport Operator

Transport Operator Location: Daventry Salary: £16.20ph basic Hours: AM - 40 hours The Role Global Employment Bureau are currently recruiting for a Transport Operator to join a busy and well-established logistics operation. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced transport office, supporting the smooth and efficient running of daily operations. You will be responsible for driver allocation, compliance scheduling, performance monitoring and maintaining regular communication with drivers throughout the working day. Working across both two-man crew and general haulage operations , you will play a key role in ensuring transport activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with relevant legislation and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Your duties will include: Planning and allocating drivers across two-man crew and general haulage operations Scheduling compliance requirements within the appropriate legal timescales Monitoring daily transport activity and driver performance Recording and reviewing driver KPIs Maintaining regular communication with drivers throughout their shifts Ensuring drivers complete their duties in accordance with legal driving requirements Responding quickly to operational issues and changing priorities Supporting new contracts and evolving customer requirements Providing flexible logistical support to maintain service levels Delivering a high standard of customer service Working closely with the wider transport team to maintain an efficient and compliant operation About You We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and confident working within a busy transport environment . Ideally, you will have: Previous experience within transport, logistics, fleet operations or a similar environment A good understanding of transport compliance and planning Knowledge of drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and general transport legislation Strong organisational and prioritisation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Confidence communicating with drivers, customers and colleagues Good attention to detail A proactive approach to problem-solving The ability to adapt quickly when operational requirements change A willingness to learn and develop within the role What's on Offer?
