About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Transport Clerk to join a busy logistics team based in the Crick / Daventry area. This is a key role supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our transport function, ensuring deliveries and collections run efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules
  • Liaising with drivers, warehouse staff, and external customers
  • Monitoring vehicle movements and ensuring timely deliveries
  • Handling transport documentation, including PODs and delivery notes
  • Updating internal systems with accurate transport data
  • Dealing with queries, delays, and operational issues in a timely manner
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport regulations

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or administration role (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Knowledge of transport management systems (TMS) is an advantage
