We are looking for experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team based in Northamptonshire. The role involves a mixture of trunking, shunting, andgeneral haulageduties, ensuring the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Class 1 (C+E) driving duties, includingtrunking, shunting,and general haulage.

  • Complete timely and accurate deliveries/collections to and from distribution centres, depots, or customer sites.

  • Conduct vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant before use.

  • Accurately complete all required delivery documentation and digital records (PODs, manifests, etc.).

  • Safely load and unload goods, ensuring correct load security and weight distribution.

  • Maintain professional communication with the transport office and customers.

  • Adhere to Drivers Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and all Company policies.

Requirements

  • Full UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence.

  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

  • Minimum of 6 months Class 1 driving experience (preferred).

  • No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements).

  • Good knowledge of UK road networks and tachograph legislation.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • A positive, professional attitude and commitment to safe driving.

  • Trunking and local shunting shifts to suit work-life balance.
