HGV C1 Driver Adhoc Work

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out trunking operations, typically between regional depots, distribution centres, or customer hubs. Conduct store and depot deliveries, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in good condition. Perform vehicle checks and defect reporting in accordance with company and DVSA regulations (daily walkaround checks). Load and unload trailers safely, following manual handling procedures and site rules. Complete all delivery documentation, PODs, and digital logs accurately and promptly. Liaise with transport planners, warehouse teams, and store staff to ensure smooth operational flow. Maintain high standards of driving behaviour and road safety, representing the company in a professional manner at all times. Adhere to drivers hours legislation, tachograph rules, and Working Time Directive. Report any accidents, delays, or issues affecting delivery performance. Keep the vehicle clean, presentable, and roadworthy at all times. Comply with Health & Safety, environmental, and company operational procedures. Essential skills and qualifications: Class 1 HGV licence Full driver CPC Efficient organisational skills to work so you can work to a front-line customer service schedule. Experience of working in a fast-paced transport environment with a high regard for vehicle, road user and personal safety.
