Global Edge is partnering with an international operator to hire a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer for ongoing projects at an Ethylene Plant in Fife.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and oversee discipline engineering work to ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and regulations.
  • Coordinate engineering activities and communicate effectively within the project team and with external contractors.
  • Review and provide feedback on design drawings and documents.
  • Manage deviations from technical specifications, ensuring compliance with project procedures.
  • Support engineering reviews and promote efficient design practices.

KEY TASKS:

  • Coordinate technical work and communication among engineering teams.
  • Assess contractor performance and ensure adherence to project standards.
  • Handle engineering queries and maintain progress reporting.
  • Participate in engineering reviews and support maintenance planning.
  • Manage process control programs and data analysis.
  • Develop maintenance strategies and execute control system lifecycle management.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in design standards, safety criteria, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience with instrument and control system specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills using database and software tools.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluent in English with excellent technical and business communication skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with Steam and Gas turbine control systems (Siemens & GE Mk 6eS).
  • TUV Functional Safety qualification.
  • CompEx Ex12 qualification.
