Global Dimensions is seeking a Geology/Materials Analyst for a position in Molesworth, UK. The Geology/Materials Analyst will provide applied geologic expertise, conduct geological analysis related to terrain, soils, bedrock, hydrology, geomorphology, and environmental conditions, and render into digestible information that can be understood by leadership. Translate complex geologic data into clear, mission-relevant assessments and written products for senior leaders, planners, and operational staff. Support time-sensitive and long-term projects by evaluating subsurface and environmental factors that affect mobility, construction feasibility, resource availability, and operational risk in austere and developing environments.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in a Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science, or Geological Engineering field
- 4+ years of experience as a geologist or geoscientist supporting government, DoD, or national security missions
- Experience conducting applied geologic analysis, including soil and rock characterization, hydrology, geomorphology, terrain stability, or environmental assessments
- Experience producing written technical reports, assessments, or analytical products for operational or decision-making audiences
- Knowledge of geologic data sources and methodologies, including field data, laboratory analysis, scientific literature, and publicly available datasets
- Ability to clearly brief senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams on geologic findings, risks, and implications
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Desired
- Experience supporting projects or operations within the AFRICOM Area of Responsibility
- Experience with intelligence analysis and DIA analytic standards
- Experience with geology of austere, remote, or developing environments
- Experience working with MASINT or large or complex geologic datasets, and summarizing findings for decision-makers
