Reports to: Domain Manager, Automation Engineering

Functions Supervised: None

Primary Functions: Collaborates as a member of Product Development Teams by applying automation technology such as robotic process automation, business process automation, and artificial intelligence to achieve strategic business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Engages in the execution and development of automation features and stories to support product development teams.
  • Develops automation solutions that satisfy technical and business requirements to support the development and deployment of product development features.
  • Maintains, develops, and enhances tools/applications for automation frameworks using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom solutions.
  • Provides detailed documentation and training collateral for automation framework and automation suites.
  • Collaborates with domain members to establish automation framework requirements, standards, and design principles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical or scientific field, or equivalent work experience.

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent technical education and/or related work experience.

Experience/Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • At least one year of professional experience in software or business automation preferred.
  • At least one year of experience with RPA, automation frameworks, artificial intelligence, and/or multi-disciplinary programming preferred.
  • Understanding of business process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices and with Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration, Azure Devops, and TDD preferred.
  • Willingness to continuously learn new technical skills and solve complex problems.

Tenure: Assignment to the Automation Engineer I (Category 10), Automation Engineer II (Category 09), Automation Engineer III (Category 08), or Senior Automation Engineer (Category 07) will be determined by the candidate’s education and/or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate’s certification and/or performance.

Compensation

Salary Pay Range:

  • Automation Engineer I (Category 10): $63,233 - $90,739 annually
  • Automation Engineer II (Category 09): $69,557 - $101,897 annually
  • Automation Engineer III (Category 08): $79,989 - $119,596 annually
  • Senior Automation Engineer (Category 07): $90,389 - $137,136 annually

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
