Overview

Reports to: Consumer Lending Title Supervisor

Functions Supervised: None

Primary Functions: Process titles, UCC filing and other security instruments to perfect the credit union's lien.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous member service.
  • Review, collect, monitor, and process documentation necessary to perfect the credit union's security interest (lien) on the title, UCC filings and other security instruments in at least one state.
  • Conduct consistent follow-up on accounts pending title to ensure timely lien recording in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform duties requiring a moderate volume of inbound and outbound telephone interactions in tandem with manual processing of administration of physical documents and records.
  • Document all title management system activity accurately and thoroughly.
  • Inform management of any aged accounts pending title or unusual activity and collaborate with other departments as a liaison.
  • Perform maintenance functions, including obtaining loan payoff information for the preparation of stop payments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to titling processes and related credit union activities.
  • Perform title follow-up on indirect (dealer) loans pending title, as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable

Experience/Skills:

  • Need to be self-motivated, resourceful, with high attention to detail and the ability to proactively seek solutions.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, communication abilities, and robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have an ability to learn new computer systems.

Tenure: Assignment to Consumer Lending Title Specialist I (Category 14), Consumer Lending Title Specialist II (Category 13), Consumer Lending Title Specialist III (Category 12) or Senior Consumer Lending Title Specialist (Category 11) requires meeting proven acceptable performance standards as established by management. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.

Compensation

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.

  • Salary Pay Range: 11 $57,484 - $90,230 annually
  • Salary Pay Range: 12 $53,226 - $81,405 annually
  • Salary Pay Range: 13 $49,284 - $73,391 annually
  • Salary Pay Range: 14 $45,633 - $66,624 annually
