The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering commissioning and technical operations across multiple project sites across Europe. The role ensures that all technical, operational, and delivery activities are executed:

The Regional Operations Manager is the senior technical authority within the region and provides leadership to site-based teams while serving as the primary link between project delivery and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Provide technical direction and oversight to all site-based commissioning teams
- Act as senior technical authority for commissioning activities
- Set and enforce technical standards and best practice
- Lead technical discussions, troubleshooting, and system integration decisions
- Support resolution of complex commissioning and performance issues
- Project & Operational Management
- Work with Project Managers to define scope, milestones, and delivery strategy
- Develop and maintain regional delivery plans and resource forecasts
- Monitor project performance, risks, and constraints
- Implement corrective actions where required
- Ensure consistency of execution and reporting across all regional projects
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and coordinate on-site teams across multiple locations
- Promote collaboration, safety, and professionalism
- Support mentoring and technical development
- Encourage knowledge sharing and standardisation
- Technical Governance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards
- Review and approve commissioning plans, test scripts, and handover documentation
- Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks
- Support audits and lessons-learned initiatives
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as senior operational and technical point of contact
- Manage client expectations and communication
- Ensure technical requirements are incorporated into delivery
- Support resolution of escalations and major issues

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Ensure risks are assessed and controlled before and during site activities

- Strong technical knowledge of mission-critical data centre systems:
- Electrical power distribution
- Mechanical cooling systems
- Controls and integrated systems
Technical Knowledge
- EN 50600, TIA-942 and Tier concepts
- Commissioning methodologies and structured testing processes
- Risk management and problem-solving frameworks
Education & Qualifications
- Data centre commissioning and health & safety certifications - Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or related engineering discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Project, or Operations Management - Desirable
