Global Commissioning Limited is a UK-based consultancy specialising in commissioning management and validation services. We work with project developers and operators to ensure buildings are fully operational and meet design specifications at handover. With a strong presence across the UK and Europe, we are committed to delivering excellence in commissioning services.
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Manager to join our team in London.
Role Overview
As a Commissioning Manager, you will oversee the safe, efficient, and timely commissioning of critical mechanical systems within the built environment. You will lead and coordinate commissioning services across all project phases, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards. This role involves working closely with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Phase: Develop and review key commissioning documents, including Owner's Project Requirements, Basis of Design, and Commissioning Plans. Lead kick-off meetings and facilitate stakeholder collaboration for seamless project execution.
- Construction Phase: Conduct commissioning workshops (Levels 2-4) and oversee Factory & Field Witness Testing. Ensure compliance with project specifications and maintain accurate records. Communicate with clients and internal teams to monitor progress and address issues.
- Acceptance Phase: Manage Level 4 commissioning activities, resolve issues, and present reports to stakeholders. Lead Level 5 commissioning activities, preparing test scripts and ensuring smooth project transition. Coordinate pre-integrated systems testing meetings and reporting.
- Handover Phase: Organise system training and data collection for end-user readiness. Lead 'Lessons Learned' workshops and produce final commissioning reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: Trade apprenticeship or relevant qualification, CSCS / Safe Pass / ECS / SMSTS certification, HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- Desirable: Data centre project experience, BEng (Hons) or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
