Residential Care Home in Hull are currently recruiting an experienced and committed Deputy Manager.

Hours: Full-time position (35+ hours)

Salary: to be discussed (depends on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Home Manager in day-to-day operations.
  • Accept responsibility for the running of the Home and the welfare of the residents and staff in the absence of the Home's Manager.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance for all staff.
  • Ensure high standards of care are consistently maintained and care plans are followed.
  • Create and promote an environment in the Home which will help to improve the quality of life for both residents and staff.
  • Rota planning and assistance in preparing monthly wages.
  • Be wholly responsible for care plans and/or administration at the preference of the Home's Manager.
  • Mentor, supervise, and support staff to promote professional development.
  • Ensure the safe storage and usage of all drugs and medications within the home.
  • Be “on call” for the Home on a Rota basis with the Home's Manager.
  • Assist the Home's Manager to maintain and develop the level of occupancy through regular contact with the CQC, associated professionals and other Homes within the company.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 relevant leadership qualifications desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and good practice in residential care.
  • Previous experience in a senior care or deputy manager role; management experience preferred.
