From Hooch and VK to our premium soft drink brand Franklin & Sons, we have a presence in all retail channels domestically as well as over 70 countries internationally. Our HQ is based within our own hotel CASA in Chesterfield, Derbyshire with additional office space in London.
We are looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to join our team of Customer Marketing specialists to look after our National Accounts and take the lead on HORECA. You will be responsible for creating and executing activation plans that are suited to your given accounts, working closely alongside your counterpart in the Sales team. Ensuring our brands are best represented in the eyes of our customers at all times.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about on-trade hospitality venues with a great understanding of executing promotional activity. Our ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with strong presentation and networking skills and has excellent time management and organisational skills – demonstrating that they are able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
You will ultimately be responsible for activating our annual brand plans in your given accounts, with your focus being:
- Create and execute activation plans that are suited to your given channels in order to support customer and brand growth objectives.
- Ensure the brand is best represented in the eyes of the customer, within the boundaries and context of meeting sales and customer specific objectives.
- Act as the interface between all functions in Marketing and the Sales team, to develop customer specific campaign activity and customer specific new product launch plans.
- Measure and evaluate activity, demonstrating tangible results for the business as well as future recommendations.
- Assist the Head of Customer Marketing and Events in developing and delivering channel plans across all channels ensuring our brands are seen in the right places with the right people.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the data & insight team to interpret data and develop retailer specific recommendations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform on strategic decisions.
- Work alongside the channel relevant account managers to build bespoke retailer tenders/activation plans utilising the expertise of the Events Team.
- Assist in managing the marketing budget and ensure all activations deliver a positive return on investment.
- Regularly report on campaign performance and insights to senior management.
- Be confident to recognise and raise challenges whilst delivering a solution to overcome them.
- Be the conduit between sales & marketing to ensure brand and customer objectives are being met.
- Where appropriate, build mutually beneficial relationships with your counterpart in customer businesses.
- Spend time in your relevant channel to be able to offer opportunities to brand and sales for all elements of the marketing mix (product, promotion and activation specifically) to drive GBL growth.
- Prepared to adapt easily and work flexibly, evenings and weekends, to deliver in trade and experiential activity where required.
- As part of the wider customer marketing team, brief channel specific POS requests to purchasing and be the project lead on delivery high quality POS efficiently.
- Brief promotional artwork and manage from start to end using Trello within brand guidelines.
- Keep the sales team informed and on board with all projects and brand plans, creating selling decks that tie in brand plans with their channel plans and goals.
- As part of the wider marketing team, maintain all internal sell in tools to ensure they are accurate and up to date, including Brand and other external tools.
Key Requirements:
- 2+ years in customer marketing or related role.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering activation plans.
- Highly numerate and strong commercial thinker with a clear ability to present robust and compelling insight.
- High energy levels with the capacity to deliver multiple tasks.
- Possess strong project management skills and an ability to think both rapidly and ‘outside the box’.
- A self-starter, who sees the bigger picture and is not fazed by dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel nationally, with full UK driving licence.
- Able to conduct trade visits nationally with occasional overnight stays.
