Main Purpose of the Role This is a new role within a newly established team, created by a recently appointed Managing Director for External Engagement and Sustainability, to: Secure recognition for GEDU Global Education as a leading, UK HQ’d group of education businesses with expanding global reach. Support the public policy objectives of the Group and its individual companies. Showcase and develop activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The main purpose of the Executive Assistant role is to support the Managing Director daily, ensuring the external engagement and sustainability team operates efficiently and effectively.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the MD with organising, administering, and presenting the External Engagement and Sustainability team.
- Maintain an up-to-date action tracker, liaising with staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Draft letters, emails, agendas, reports, and presentations, including PowerPoint and Excel documents.
- Provide administrative support such as diary management, scheduling, attending meetings, note-taking, and summarising actions.
- Maintain comprehensive filing systems for documents, records, and information, including spreadsheets and databases.
- Act as an ambassador for the MD and team, exercising tact, discretion, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Organise and facilitate meetings and events, coordinating logistics and agendas.
- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by the MD.
- Maintain relationships with senior colleagues across the Group to maximise synergies.
Essential Skills and Experience Proven expertise in Microsoft Office 365 programs. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken. Ability to build relationships and work effectively across multiple functions and locations worldwide. Discretion is paramount due to the sensitive nature of work.
